Why did I start my own podcast?

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank all my followers and to the people who take the time to read my blogposts. It’s always a great feeling to have when others read and like the things that you love writing about.

I would like to share how I decided to start my own podcast because I want to read this in the future and see how my thoughts about this project are right now. This may also inspire or motivate others to start their own podcast or blog.

I knew for a longtime that I wanted to help others by sharing what I know about the world and life in general. This is why I became a teacher. Although, I am able to teach my students about life, I can only share my knowledge to a limited amount of people. I asked myself « Wouldn’t it be nice to teach more people around the world? » I followed that thought with: « If I can’t travel around the world YET, I can just post on the internet ». Hence, I have this website. So far, I’ve been quite consistent with it since April 2022.

Writing about topics that I’m passionate about has been a form of therapy and it really helps me cope with reality (which can be tough to handle at times).

Then, I thought that I had a lot more to say on the topics that I’ve written about on this website, but if I write everything, you will be reading a novel… That’s when I started considering podcasts. However, at that time, I didn’t listen to podcasts much.

Therefore, for the past several months, I’ve listened to different podcasts and read many self-help or self-improvement books to help me prepare for when I am finally ready to launch.

At the same time, I’ve also been working on my confidence, and fortunately, I’m now at a point where I can share my work without having an anxiety attack. It’s been a long journey, but I still have a lot to learn. There is always more to learn and I like it that way. Be open to that if you want to grow as a person.

If you’re considering starting your own podcast or website, just do it. If it’s something that you really WANT to do because you LOVE talking/writing and sharing, just go for it. You’re not going to be an expert right away and that is OKAY. We all start somewhere. We all make mistakes and it’s up to us to decide to learn from them. You’ll be an expert one day, but you have to take that first step.
